Wed, 5 March 2008 ![]() This week the Drone Bay crew
returns in the first official podcast. We have a host! As
many of you may already know, The Drone Bay has been added to the Virgin Worlds Podcast Collective.
I, for one, welcome our new podcasting overlords. Big thanks to
Brent for giving us a place to keep our show. Also, big thanks
again to AlienHand
for letting us use his great music as our background for the show.
As promised, last week, I plugged you on the air this time. Bring on the Drones: The guys give brief recaps
of their week, including Crovan's exploding in the alliance tournament
and Al's brush with suicide gankers. The tournament gets a bit of
a breakdown and explanation, and a couple of the more popular tactics
are analyzed. DON’T PANIC, The Drone Bay's
noob diary and guide, discusses character creation, and why Crovan’s
avatar looks stupid. In the listener feedback section,
the crew is surprised by the volume of calls for corporation discussion,
and disappointed at the lack of Skype voicemails. We hope to have
more of both for next week. CK gives us an introduction
to EVE's rich and vibrant economy, and takes a look at the Economics Dev Blog and
the First Quarterly Economic Newsletter
from Q3 of 2007. Finally, the guys have indulged
in a bit of a competing MMO, a hilarious review for which can be found here. More to come
on their non-EVE adventures. Please, please keep giving
us feedback. We can't get to everything every week, but we do
appreciate the input and questions. Also, please drop us a Skype
voicemail or e-mail us an mp3 if you want to hear your own voice on
the show (provided you sound decent and don't talk nonsense). Contact Info: E-Mail: Skype: Dronebay Blogs: Comments[1] |
